Science Tasks Completed

Project Completed!

 Today we finish our independent science tasks. Some students completed tasks on catapults, roller coasters, and different naturally occurring forces. The standard of the projects was excellent and all students should be congratulated for their efforts. Well done to all!

Mr. V. and Aiden Test Gravity.

On Saturday the 14th of May, Mr. V and his fearless son jumped out of a tiny Cessna over Branxton and hurtled towards planet Earth.

Thankfully the force of gravity was balanced with a parachute and they floated gracefully down to the ground.

Gravity can be painful!

Sometimes it’s the quiet ones you need to keep an eye on. Take for example Ebony Solomou. She has been learning tae kwon do and now she has achieved something special. On the 7^th April she got a black belt. Ebony was supposed to be getting a brown belt with a black stripe, but with outstanding skill she earned a rare double promotion and got a black belt instead. Ebony has been training for 3 years to get it. To achieve her goal of black belt Ebony had to break a certain number of boards and practice patterns.  She also tells me that she must be able to do 3 on1 sparing and take-downs. I’ll take her word for it!

What a busy week! We have been finalising our science booklets for marking and some students are still busy completing their individual learning task. Mr V and Mr Latimore went over what we have learnt so far this term. It’s amazing how much we have covered.
